Have you ever thought of how content affects your habits in relation to technology? On your Twitter, on your Facebook, on your fitness tracker, or on your mobile games content is arranged to increase the time you spend on these platforms. Snaps, statuses, infinite scroll, feedback forms (such as likes) are all designed to get the users hooked on these services. In my latest research, I study how content type affects use habits and use intensity on Facebook. The results show that fun content is more prominent in its effects on intense and habitual use.
