Poem for the Age of 35

The age of 35 has always been special for me. And the reason for this is a poem! Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı in his poem “Age 35” claims that this age is half of our lives at which point many things have changed including our friendships, our looks, even how we experience life. It is a point where things start to decline. Age 35 is one of the most popular poems of Turkish literature. For this reason and to celebrate this age I have translated this poem to Finnish. Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı wrote this poem in 1946. Luckily, average lifespan has increased significantly since then. I quite feel that I am just at the beginning, only wiser.
